Confused Left policy

In the last two decades, India has learnt about opening up to the rest of the world. All over the world the basic philosophy of development pivots around human development,the value of education,individual enterprise in newly explored niche areas & trade across borders at competitive & efficient terms.Rigid leftist policies are no longer acceptable in our country, equally unacceptable are the Left's confused deeds & mixed up idealism.

Marginalisation of left

Only a handful of the members of CPI[M]'s highest decision making body are elected representatives of people.This makes their decision making far removed from the will of the people.Small wonder the CPI[M] finds itself so marginalised today.The model of a Leninist party does not work in a democracy.

Lalgarh - failure of governance

It has been months since the allegedly Maoist bomb attack on the chief minister's convoy.The police's explosion of anger upon tribal villagers resulted in a spreading tide of popular protest. The government has been compelled to admit the truth of the villager's charges.The polling arrangements at Lalgarh are not just the sign of a failure of governance, they signify the government's moral cowardice.
